The nitty-gritty of the heat It all comes down to the tungsten filament and the quartz envelope. If those aren’t dialed in, your preforms won’t absorb heat consistently from the center to the ends. Now, if you’re running high-speed lines, you need a lot of power. But there’s a catch. If you just crank up the wattage, you’re basically asking the lamp to burn out early. We spent a lot of time balancing the voltage and wattage so the filament stays stable, but you still get the heat flux you need to keep things moving. Getting them installed The best part? You don’t have to rebuild your housings. These use standard industrial connectors, so they wire up fast. We also use high-purity quartz glass, which means the tubes won’t cloud over and lose their punch after a few weeks of hard use. One quick heads-up, though. Because these lamps create a tighter, more intense heat field, they put more pressure on your reflection chambers. If your reflectors are pitted or oxidized, you’re essentially wasting the lamp’s potential. Give them a look before you swap. The trade-off Here’s the deal: a tighter thermal distribution means faster cycles and way less waste. But more heat in the oven means more ambient heat overall. Check your cooling blowers.
