Here is the problem with swapping out heating lamps in a Sidel Matrix blower: if the temperature curve shifts even a tiny bit, you’re in trouble. A slight tweak in wattage or the way the light hits the plastic, and suddenly your PET preforms aren’t heating evenly. It’s frustrating. That’s why we didn’t just make “similar” lamps. We made replacements that act exactly like the ones that came with the machine. The nitty-gritty on the fit It all comes down to the physics. If a lamp is off by just a few millimeters, the focal point of that infrared heat shifts. It misses the mark. We obsess over the measurements so the heat hits the preform at the exact same angle as the original. Then there’s the electrical side. You don’t want your controllers tripping or struggling to hit the target temp because the resistance is off. We lock in the Ohm values so the power draw stays identical to the factory setup. No surprises. No flickering. Just steady heat. Better materials, better bottles We use high-purity quartz glass because these things take a beating with constant rapid cycling. To get the heat through those PET walls quickly, we use short-wave infrared tech. And we stay away from those generic coatings you see everywhere. Instead, we use specific reflectors and gas fills that mimic the original emissivity. Why? Because “close enough” leads to hot spots, and hot spots lead to that annoying pearlescence or burnt plastic in your finished bottles. Nobody wants that. Putting them to work The best part? You can just wire these in. No messing around with sockets or hacking your brackets. They just fit. One quick tip before you start: these lamps put out a lot of intense heat. If your cooling fans are clogged with dust or just plain dying, even the best lamp in the world will burn out early because it’s soaking in too much ambient heat.
