Stop Waiting on OEM Lamps for Your Techne Blower
There is nothing worse than a PET blow-molding line grinding to a halt because a few lamps burned out. You call the manufacturer, and suddenly you’re looking at crazy prices and lead times that feel like they’re measured in months, not days. It’s a bottleneck that costs you real money. That’s why we built our infrared lamps to just work. Whether you’re running Techne blowers or almost any other brand on the planet, these are designed to slide right in and get you back to work.
The trick to getting the heat right
It’s not about making one lamp that fits every single machine—that doesn’t actually work. It’s about the math. We make sure the voltage and wattage match exactly what your machine expects. If you throw a low-wattage lamp into a high-output slot, your preforms won’t get hot enough. You’ll end up with uneven walls and a pile of rejected bottles. No one wants that.
Built to last (and actually fit)
We use high-purity quartz and halogen gas so these things can run hot without the filament just giving up. But the real headache is usually the connectors. We’ve kept the tolerances tight on our R7s and Sk15 bases so they snap in securely. No gaps, no sparking, no fuss. We even offer coated versions that push the heat directly into the PET resin instead of wasting energy heating up your oven walls.
A few things to keep in mind
These lamps put out a massive amount of heat. When you swap them into your Techne-style blower, do yourself a favor:check your cooling fans. If your ventilation is clogged or dusty, you might overheat the lamp holders. It’s a quick check that saves a lot of trouble later. We keep these in stock so you don’t have to play the waiting game with proprietary brands. Just wire them up, tweak your timers, and keep the line moving.
