We use high-purity quartz and halogen gas so these things can run hot without the filament just giving up. But the real headache is usually the connectors. A few things to keep in mind
These lamps put out a massive amount of heat. When you swap them into your Techne-style blower, do yourself a favor:check your cooling fans. If your ventilation is clogged or dusty, you might overheat the lamp holders. It’s a quick check that saves a lot of trouble later.
